Young Womens

The Young Women will be tie-dying white shirts on Sept. 22nd for their mutual activity. The young women will be wearing these shirts for their mutual activities during the month of October for stake volleyball and then again in the spring for stake softball. We are asking the girls to bring in their own white shirts for this activity. The shirts do not need to be new, any shirt that is basically white will work just fine. So if you are a mother of a young woman, please have you daughter look through her closet or pick her up a cheap white t-shirt so that she can participate in this activity. We love working with your daughters, so thank you for supporting us and helping them be prepared for this activity

Time Out for Women

This next Sunday is the last Sunday before we order the Time Out For Women tickets. If you are interested in going here is the information:

We are looking for sisters who are interested in going to ‘Time Out for Women’. If 5 or more sisters register before September 10th, we can receive a $10.00 discount for the full weekend registration. The full weekend registration cost with the discount is $47.00. If you are interested in only going on Friday night, the cost is $20.00 at the door and they don’t guarantee availability. You can, however, get together with someone interested in only going on Saturday and splitting the cost (and vice versa). We will try to accommodate those sisters interested in going only on Friday or Saturday, but depending on what sister’s sign up for is what might be available. With the discount it will be cheaper to pay for both days as opposed to just paying for one day. There are going to be some great speakers like John Bytheway and Jenny Oaks Baker and so many more! All money needs to be paid IN CASH to Michelle Bloom by September 6th. There will be no pre-purchased box lunches available, so you will need to bring a lunch with you. We will meet at one sister’s home for each day to carpool down there. We would love to have any and all join us!

Pre-School Anyone?

I am in search of a preschool or pre-k program for my 5 year old this fall. I had planned to put him in Kindersteps at Haley Elementary, but as many of you know they got rid of the program. Can any of you recommend a preschool in our area that you think is great? He is already starting to read so he needs one that is a little more advanced.

Another option is to form a "co-op" sort of preschool. We could all take turns teaching the class. We wouldn't want more than 5 or 6 kids in the class and then have class 2 or 3 times a week. We would each be teaching preschool once every two weeks. The benefit is that we wouldn't have tuition, just the time and cost of materials. I am willing to create the curriculum. I absolutely loved the program he was taught this year and we could use that. You can contact me at:leslienelson1@mac.comhome 480.844.0880cell 480.710.1514
