Book Club

Wednesday, August 5th, is our RS Book Club. The book, which was our 'summer read', is 'The Lightening Thief'. We invite all who have read it-adults and kids alike- and any who haven't but would like to come hear about it, to come and join us. We'll be meeting at 7pm and Sis. Kuthinsky's home. FREE Massage!!!

Maren Pratt has a friend who has recently graduated from massage school. She is applying for a job and needs to get as much practice as she can before she goes in. She is offering free massages through July 10Th. She needs volunteers of all shapes and sizes, men or women. If you can help, please call Kim Bowling at 480-993-2262. Kim lives near Lindsey and Riggs and is willing to have you come to her house or if needed, she can come to yours.

Park City Vacation, anyone?

A timeshare condo available for the week of June 27th-July 4th. It's in Park City, Utah. It has a Full Kitchen, 1 bedroom, and sleeps 4. It is the Park Regency. The cost is $325.00 for the week. Pre-School Anyone?

I am in search of a preschool or pre-k program for my 5 year old this fall. I had planned to put him in Kindersteps at Haley Elementary, but as many of you know they got rid of the program. Can any of you recommend a preschool in our area that you think is great? He is already starting to read so he needs one that is a little more advanced.

Another option is to form a "co-op" sort of preschool. We could all take turns teaching the class. We wouldn't want more than 5 or 6 kids in the class and then have class 2 or 3 times a week. We would each be teaching preschool once every two weeks. The benefit is that we wouldn't have tuition, just the time and cost of materials. I am willing to create the curriculum. Enrichment

Just 2 more days until our June enrichment! It will be this Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 pm at Kim Pierce's home - 2843 E. Birchwood Place 480-883-3134. She will be teaching us how to make homemade wheat bread using our food storage! If you have a jam or jelly that you'd like to share, please bring it! We hope to see you all there. Relief Society Almost Overnighter

Don't forget: Our Relief Society Almost Overnighter is this Friday, May 15th, at 7:00. It's at Jodi Stapley's home. Come when you like, stay as long as you like, and bring a snack/treat to share. Come enjoy the company of good women and get to know the sisters in our ward a little better.
